Classics for Kids
The "Classics for Kids" website features all sorts of information about classical music, including a "composer of the month." The site includes four great games that teach notes, basic rhythm, and allow students to create their own music.
SFS Kids
The San Francisco Symphony hosts this "SFS Kids" website with many resources, including this "Music Lab" for kids. Send your students here to learn basic music concepts and to try their hand at composing themselves.
Getty Games
Getty Games, created by the Getty Museum Art Museum in Los Angeles, allows kids to get to know and manipulate famous works of art as they match, puzzle, and paint their way through important art skills.
Musical Notes
This game comes recommended from beginning music teachers and asks students to read a note name on the staff, and play it correctly on a keyboard. Great for beginning percussion and piano students!
Flying Instruments
The flying instruments games teach students the Woodwind, Brass, Percussion, and String families using audio clips from The Nutcracker combined with pictures.
12 Steps
This highly-acclaimed game has won numerous awards for educational gaming, and teaches ear training as students have to identify and select matching sounds in a cacophony of distractions.
Orchestra Game
As children identify the correct instruments, each instrument takes its place in the orchestra. This game teaches instrument identification, orchestra seating and sections, and introduces students to Mozart's The Magic Flute. Created by the same makers as Alice's 12 Steps (above), it is well-recommended.

This website not only covers the basics of music theory, but it also has a musical glossary of terms, can assist with chords, piano fingering/positioning and much more.

This page allows students to color online, allowing them to change and redo their pictures easily. Teaches color combination and choices, and allows students to share their work in an online gallery. A great introduction to basic graphic design skills!
Color with Leo
The "Color with Leo" website includes lesson plans for teachers and parents, coloring pages to print, 8 "Art Studio" online art lessons, and 9 games that include topics such as identifying shapes and colors.
Warm and Cool 1
This game challenges students to learn and separate warm and cool colors. This "level 1" version helps students identify the difference.
